Cornrow Singles

 

Here is a hairstyle that will last at least 3 weeks for you, for all those mothers who prefer not to use extension in their children’s hair, but would like something to give you a break for a few weeks other than the average week or so, this is the one for you.  With an average time of an hour (depending on how small you would like it) the cornrow singles is a quicker way of achieving the singles look without the long sit down that comes with singles.

Finished with twists and multi-coloured heart shaped beading, this hairstyle is extremely versatile and is perfect for school.  Apart from the all down look, it can create some beautiful up-do’s as well.  The half up, half down, bunched and mo-hawk look are but a few styles that this can do.  This style can be done with a fringe as demonstrated in the pictures, or without a fringe.

TIP: – Always do the front in a way that will suit the face, which means be willing to adapt the style always.

Due to the styles versatility, I believe it will suit the majority if not all faces, will work on any head shape and will look good and full with any type of hair stranding.  Even though it will work best when the hair has some length to it, I’m sure it can be adapted to work on the shorter hair.  This will also encourage hair growth as it minimizes fiddling with hair and can be repeated as often as you would like.

The style does not have to be finished with a twisted look, you can continue the braided look to the tip of the hair, however those who know me by now know my love for the twisted finish as well as the most important fact that it works best on my daughters hair, as it aids minimal/no breakage.
